Rule-45: dozen, pair, score, fathom, hundred ইত্যাদির পর যদি নির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যা বাচক adjective থাকে, তবে উহাদের plural হয় না। কিন্তু অনির্দিষ্ট সংখ্যা বা several, a few, some বা শত শত, হাজার হাজার থাকলে এদের plural হবে।

Rule-46: feel, look, appear, seem ইত্যাদি linking verb এর পর adjective ব্যবহৃত হয়; adverb ব্যবহৃত হয় না

Rule-47: negative sentence-এ dare ও need এর পর to থাকে না কিন্তু affirmative sentence-এ to থাকে।

Rule-48: একই sentence-এ first, second ও third person থাকলে সাধারণ অর্থে প্রথমে second person, তারপর third person এবং শেষে first person বসে। (সূত্রঃ ২৩১)

Rule-49: ‘very’ present participle (verb+ing) কে modify করে। ‘much’ past participle কে modify করে।

Rule-50: একাংশ যেমন one-third, one-fifth ইত্যাদি ছাড়া সর্বশেষ ভগ্নাংশ plural হয়। তবে ভগ্নাংশগুলো যদি পরিমাণ বুঝায় তবে verb টি singular হবে এবং সংখ্যা বুঝালে plural হবে।
